On a Roll!

Second card in two days :)

These adorable Penny Black Hodgehegs have been stamped in Memento black ink and coloured with Promarkers.  The ribbon and black paper  are from my stash and the paper was punched with a Martha Stewart punch.  The backing paper is once again from the Spring Glittered Stack and the motif has been Stickled up :)

A First!

My first card of the year and my first post on here in ages.  I do have an excuse though, I was off travelling round Africa for a couple of months then I was back - back to work and starting a new postgraduate course.  Phew!

This is also my first diagonal easel card.

Fizzymoon was stamped in Memento Ink and Coloured with Promarkers (butter yellow, sky blue, pastel blue, pastel yellow, sandstone and dusky pink).  The patterned paper is from the Spring Stack from DCWV (I actually cut into this!).  You cant see it very well but the stamped flowers and the outline of the diecut label are covered in stickles.

The cardstock, ribbon and pearls are from my stash.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts.

I still think this is missing something, but I'm not sure what?

"Hugs"

Some days you just need a "hug"

Milton from the Wild Rose Studio was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and coloured with Promarkers. The brown card stock is from Papermill whilst the pink is from Papermania's Colossal coloured cardstock pack. The ribbon is Anita's, the pearls are from my stash, the brown spotted paper is from the Daisy and Dandelion A5 paper pack (Some Bunny loves you) and the pink spotter paper (if you'd believe it) is from the DCWV Spring Stack and is the oposite side of the beautiful goldy coloured paper used in the last card (yes, the Tilda one!).

I have been busy

honestly :)

New one for you today.

I've had some Tilda stamps for over a year now, but have never used them (I know, I know!) and thought it might be time to ink them up.

I'm a simple card maker.  I dont really do "complicated" cards that have lots of elements.  Cards that use two different patterned papers are a challenge for me, but I've seen sooo many beautiful cards that are embellished with flowers, florishes and everything else that I've decided that - now and again - I need to push the boat out and try something out of my comfort zone so I placed a couple of orders and got myself some stuff.

Hence this card.  Its not as "complicated" as I'd like but for a first try I think its pretty good :)

Gold card from Staples (?), Cream textured card from Papermania and White Paper from Paper Mill.  The patterned paper is from the DCWV Spring Glitter stack, the gold ribbon is Anita's, flowers (and heart pin) from Wild Orchid Crafts and the Martha Stewart Doiley punch was used.

The Tilda as Bride stamp was inked in Black Memento ink and coloured with Promarkers.  The sentiment is from JustRite and features in their Wedding Set.  You cant see it very well in the photo but her "crown" and flowers have been glittered using some ultra fine gold nail art glitter that I had lying around (and that I spilt early this morning...nightmare!)

A Special Couple

Going by my last couple of posts, can you guess the character used in my lastest card???

Fizzy Moon!

Stamped using memento, coloured with promarkers and I've added some stickles to the little love hearts and champaign glasses (red and star dust respectively).  The card stock, from the papermill, has some lovely textures that dont show up too well on camera and the patterened paper is from the Classic K McKenna pad by K&Company.

The sentiment was stamped with my JustRite stamps, then die cut using my circle and scalloped circle nesties.

Can you tell I like the Fizzymoon stamps?

Bought a few more during the week :)

Fizzy was stamped with memento black ink and coloured with promarkers.  The cardstock is from the papermill and the patterned paper (some of my stash!) is from one of the very first paper packs I bought...about 5 years ago!

I feel as though there is something missing from this one.  Not sure what, but I can see me making some changes to it before it goes in its cello bag.

Rainy Days

I love my Elzybells stamps!  I only wish I'd discovered them earlier and not when they were closing :(

The Elzybells stamp and sentiment where stamped using black tuxedo memento ink and coloured with promarkers.  The grey paper was from the papermill and has a lovely dappled effect.  The patterned paper is from DCWV Spring Stack (bargain at £3.95 from Hobbycraft last year!) and, though its not very clear, I've used some Star Dust stickles on the rain drops.

Personal Challenge

See this

This is the pile of 6x6 and 8x8 papers that have been clogging up my crafting space.

I've given away loads of sheets but, as you can see, have plenty left so have set myself the challenge of using them all up by the end of the year.

Well...thats the plan anyway.  I usually find it really hard to include a piece of patterned paper on my cards, so its definately going to be a challenge.

I'm making small progress though!

Another Fizzymoon, very similar to the last but slightly different (sentiment, pearls, colour, ect).  I have a feeling I will be making more like this over the next week or so simply because they are simple and look really nice.

Finally

Got round to posting this :)

I made this little guy a week past Friday (a last minute make for my mum) and jetted off on holiday on Saturday so didnt get a chance to show him off.

Fizzymoon is stamped in tuxedo black memento ink, coloured with Promarkers (that I'm finally getting the hang of!), and mounted on some lovely deep purple card.  The patterned paper is from an old papermania set that I still have thousands of sheets from and the sentiment is from the free set of Woodland Folk stamps that came with one of the DoCrafts magazines.  Circle/Scalloped circle was cut with my nesties and stuck on some foam pads.

Its been a long road...

*sings*

Getting from there to here.
Its been a long time,
But my time is finally near.

I can feel the change in the wind right now,
Nothings in my way.
And they're not going to hold me down no more,
No they're not going to hold me down

Cause, I've got faith of the heart!

Sorry...kinda spaced out there for a minute...spaced...
Anyone?

I would highly recommend the above song by Russell Watson.
By far the best introduction to any Star Trek series there is.

But back to Crafty things, or the lack off!
Its been months since I last did anything majorly crafty.  A few cards here and there for this and that have been about all I've been doing.

I do have a good excuse though!
I got a full time job!

My first (full time) and I'm still, months down the line, trying to work out how to do my job, have a life, do things that need doing and sleep.  And considering how much I like the latter, its been difficult!

Finally had a major clear out of all my craft stuff (again!) finally feel abit better about getting things moving again.  Especially since I can see the floor now!

My clear out has left me with some unwanted crafty bits that need a new home and you can find them Here.

Hoping to sit and watch the Superbowl tonight and get some crafting done, so keep your eyes peeled for some updates.
